Best wishes for the coming year

Best wishes for year 2021 to all of my commenters and Followers on this blog, to all my subscribers on my YouTube channel and to all my Followers on Twitter (@Panty_Buns). My apologies for not actively blogging and posting videos recently. All of my YouTube videos are straight-forward customer reviews of apparel taken of and by me, and feature me modelling and reviewing full coverage full brief panties paired with complementary tops (blouses, babydolls etcetera). My videos are all released by me into the public domain and should be considered labeled Free for ReUse. In fact, their release into the public domain was both stated verbally by me in most of my videos and included in writing in the transcripts published with them. Sadly, YouTube very wrongfully restricted the viewing of many of my favourite videos, insisting that people have a YouTube channel and log in in order to view them. I do not accept money or any form of compensation related to my blogging or to my customer reviews of apparel on YouTube or on my blog or on my Twitter. It should, therefore, come as no surprise that I have been somewhat lacking in enthusiasm for wasting my time and effort making+uploading new customer full brief review videos to YouTube, especially given that my camera and tripod both broke and that I've gotten older and more out of shape. Maybe I'll get up the ambition to do some new posts in this coming year.      My sincere apologies for my tardiness, failure to adequately express appreciation for or do justice to the bloggers who have left comments or to their blogs, and for failing to include all of you. Zoe Redinger's fancy girlie style diary and Dreams Come True" has been one of my favorite blogs to browse, due in part to all the ultra-feminine oh so girlie fashions, confections, dolls, bunnies and art that looks like it's straight out of a very girly Alice In Wonderland fairytale dream. i love frills, lace, bows, ruffles, chiffon-style fabrics and things like the vintage aqua petticoat or tutu in the post "Sweet Return" last year. Zoe, her hubby Kingston and Zoe's family are all very artistic and it shows in her blog. Her father's beautiful paintings were on display at the Reminisces & Reflections art solo exhibit in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia on Saturday Sept. 25th, 2010.  I love Zoe's girly creations.      Beneath The Crystal Stars by Sher is another beautiful blog i love. where i have enjoyed seeing some very feminine girly fashions. i just love tiered ruffles, ribbons and bows, lace and chiffon and share her appreciation of the colour pink. Thank you for your comments, Sher!

     Thank you to Fashion blogger Jasna, a.k.a. Fashion Jazz, a South African fashion blogger who writes the personal style blog FashionJazz about fashion events, inspirations, outfits, street style and style scoops. Jasna has a column on Style Scoop and Fesjon Magazines, gets right there in the thick of the roll out of new cutting edge fashions, and covers the debuts of many new fashion lines in person as the first hit the runway with interviews and plenty of photos. Thank you for following me, Jasna!  
    
     Two blogs by bloggers with their own very romantic story to tell are The Femme Next Door, a blog by lesbian lingerie designer Rebecca Szymczak who recently got engaged to Anne Neczypor, a Super-Hero who writes the blog "Pretty Witty And... The life and times of one lesbian in New York City". The incredibly romantic surprise proposal and acceptance were written about by Rebecca in a post titled: "You can't always plan EVERYTHING..." and in a post by Anne about the proposal, acceptance and subsequent trip to Paris titled "Parisian Games". Anne and Rebecca also have a YouTube channel (whocrz123's Channel) and have done four uploads so far titled  "My Cat is a Person", "Sep 22, 2010 6:19 AM", and "Foodie & Cutie".      I had been getting concerned about not having heard or read anything from wedding and portrait photographer and fellow blogger Leah Taas for some time. She hadn't written a post since August 7th, but now she's back! I'm so relieved! She looks wonderful in the photos she posted November 2nd on her blog "LEAH, The journal by Leah, a wedding and portrait photographer. Thank you, Leah, for your sweet comments and for following me on both of my blogspot blogs. You're sweet!

     One of the first fashionistas to be kind enough to follow me and allow a link to my Blogspot blog was fellow fashion blogger daisychain (Laura) who writes "A Daisy Chain Dream": Laura Budd's fashion blog and journal. Laura has been posting frequently again since getting back from  from her long hospital stay which lasted almost four months, from late May through mid-September. She has been back posting fairly frequently, and I loved the photos of her attention-seeking cat. I also loved the video Laura posted in her October 7th, 2010 post, A Daisy Chain Dream: "watch this". Back on August 2nd i had written a post titled: "Anorexia and Bulimia Claim Lives" and I think the video Laura posted has a positive message to add to the subject. CBS later did a news story about officials from the British government planning to meet with advertisers, fashion editors and health experts. I should follow up to find out what progress has been made.
    I love her New Years Resolutions, the adorable photo of her cat, and  her supportive comments. Thank you for bravely following, commenting, your beautiful blog and inspiration Daisy Chain!

Treacle, who writes The Lingerie Addict | Lingerie & Stockings Blog is much more than just a student and aficionado of lingerie. In addition  to acquiring knowledge and expertise Treacle has posed for some incredibly hot pinup photos. i was lucky enough to obtain permission to post one of them here on my blog in a previous post, "Lingerie Addict Update". There is another beautiful pinup photo of Treacle featured in her post titled: "Welcome Facebook Pin-Ups Page Visitors!". Treacle also has a YouTube channel (TheLingerieAddict's Channel) where she uploaded a video of her first foray into burlesque for the course she was taking - the performance of "The Lingerie Addict Burlesque--Treacle Tart as Velvet Le Sole". I  still like her first very brief introduction video, "Meet The Lingerie Addict.mov".
  
  

  
  

          Many of the favorite comments I have received on my blog posts have been made by Miss Caitlin S. who writes the blog Candyfloss & Persie  about Travel, Photos, Friends, Events, and Fashion. i love Miss Caitlin's direct, honest comments and questions. She once asked: "Why do you like women's underwear so much?" I especially love it that she was brave enough to check out and comment on some of the posts at my over-18 blog titled: "Full Brief Panties Male Modeled"

Anorexia and Bulimia Claim Lives

First, before i launch into the heart of this post, let me share my deep and heartfelt concern for fellow fashion blogger Laura Budd of A Daisy Chain Dream  who wrote "The Briefest of Posts" on the 26th of May, 2010.. It has been over Nine weeks now since she was admitted to the hospital and i can only hope and pray that she makes a full recovery. She did manage one quick post titled "6 Weeks" back on July 8th, 2010. Please get well soon and don't feel you need to respond to everybody. Please take care of yourself. You are very much worth it. We miss you but your own health should come first.  
                                                                                                                
The pressure on young women to be unnaturally thin in order to get jobs in fashion, modeling and acting needs to be brought to a screeching halt. In my opinion anyone who is less than a size 2 and is taller than 5' 0" tall is way, way too skinny. Many (addled) designers have mindlessly promoted and glorified the anorexic look, following each other, first like sheep and continuing on like mindless drunk lemmings, devoid of true independent thought, awareness and cognizance for the decades since "Twiggy" first made a splash in the fashion world.
                                                                                                              
It's time for it to end! There are people literally dying of anorexia and bulimia because they tried so hard to achieve this very warped image of beauty. I think that fad has lingered long enough. It's time we pulled designers away from their expensive wine bottles long enough to have them notice their surroundings.  

Despite the relatively recent media spotlight on Ralph Lauren's proclivity to present dangerously thin models, it was evident to me that he was still doing it from watching the Ralph Lauren Collection Runway Show on his website. Three and years after Anorexia claimed the lives of Uruguayan model Luisel Remos and Brazilian model Anna Reston very little had changed. There was an article written by E. J. Mundell for the Washington Post's February 2nd, 2001 HealthDay News titled "Furor Over Anorexic Models Hits U.S.Fashion Week" about the practice of using dangerously thin models back then. Although the Council of Fashion Designers of America, a trade organization of over 300 fashion and accessory designers headed by Dianne Von Furstenburg made some recommendations which seemed to have been more of a "C.Y.O.A." public relations move than anything else and more recently seem to have disappeared from prominent public view. The second to last paragraph of the "CFDA_Health_Initiative" stated in part "The CFD Health Initiative is about awareness and education, not policing. Therefore the committee does not recommend that models get a doctor's examination to assess their health or body mass index to be permitted to work."At the same time the bizarre notion of anorexia being beautiful is still being aggressively promoted by CFDA members. Personally. Victoria's secret often uses models who's legs are too skinny to fill  the leg holes of their panties and they seem to have hardly have any buttocks at all.
                                                                                                        
     I think it would have been a good thing if the lawsuit filed by Filippa Palmistierna-Hamilton had caused the media to take a much harder look not only at how they portray beauty, but at how hard they are pushing for an unhealthy image. For every model with anorexia who dies how many tens of thousands of ordinary women die trying to emulate them? Anorexia and Bulimia are deadly serious - literallyOn May 26th, 2010 MediaPost News's Sarah Mahoney reported that Lane Bryant Rattles Skeletons In Victoria's Closet. i found out about this through an article in Stylelist by Erin Donnelly entitled Lane Bryant Mocks Victoria's Secret, Louis Vuitton Ads Banned.
                                                                                                              
 
                                                                                                              
How many more young women hoping to become models or actresses will have to die from Anorexia and Bulimia before the C.F.D.A. ceases and desists from promoting that anorexic look? Thousands? Tens of thousands? Kudos to Lane Bryant and shame on ABC and FOX. This

It will be nice if the C.F.D.A. catches on to the fact that full figured women can be very attractive. At least Lane Bryant is paying attention and had their first annual Lane Bryant Blogger Conference.  I know there are fashion magazines that have pledged to use more realistic models and they are to be commended.
                                                                                                            
The Consequences of Anorexia/Bulimia are no joke. According to this Bulimia Awareness Video by Brita Chen and Jennifer Guenther there are an estimated 8 million people suffering from Bulimia - one out of 181 people in the United States.
                                                                                                              
Hopefully (fingers crossed) we are seeing the beginning of the end of the emaciated look and the return to more classical ideas of how the body should look. It's a wonderful start to the decade. If the designers all catch on to the new trend (away from the unhealthy worn out former "Twiggy" look) we'll be seeing the lingerie modeled back view by fuller figured and more diverse models far more often.
